Trick-or-Treating in Delhi Township

Trick-or-Treat Hours in Delhi Township are 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on October 31, 2020.

However you choose to celebrate this year, Delhi Township encourages everyone to follow safe practices outlined by the CDC and the State of Michigan.

This year COVID-19 brings extenuating circumstances and it is important to keep the following in mind:

• Correctly wear a cloth face covering to prevent disease spread when outside your home and around others that are not part of your household
• Actively stay away from indoor spaces that do not allow for easy distancing of at least 6 feet between you and others.
• Stay at least 6 feet away from all other people who are not part of your household.
• Wash or sanitize your hands often.
• Clean frequently touched items regularly.
• If you are sick, or you have been in contact with someone who is sick with COVID-19 or has symptoms of COVID-19 stay home and stay away from others.

Board Votes for Firetruck Purchase

The Delhi Township Board of Trustees voted unanimously this week to purchase a new firetruck from local manufacturer Spartan Emergency Response. The purchase was made possible through Renew, Repair, Restore millage, which was approved by voters in November 2018.

Financing this truck will reduce our capital outlay and ongoing maintenance costs.

The new firetruck, which is expected to arrive in early fall 2021, will allow the Delhi Township Fire Department to better respond to residents facing an emergency. This is a big win for our community.
