Any questions concerning property zoning, special use permits, zoning variances, site plans, land uses or any other planning or zoning issues may be directed to the Department by email or call 694-8281.
Questions or complaints regarding code compliance can be directed to the Code Enforcement Officer by email or call 694-8281. View a brochure regarding Building, Zoning and Planning Information (PDF).
Capital Improvement Plan
Community Development assists with the creation of the annual Capital Improvement Plan (PDF). In addition, the Community Development Department provides assistance to businesses with detailed location information including GIS data and tax abatement application assistance.
Electronic Plan Submission Required for Zoning/Planning Applications
In addition to the required paper copies, the Department of Community Development requires plans be submitted in electronic format. Final Plans should be supplied electronically by email or on a disk (CD/DVD) before the permit is issued. Electronic plans should be submitted in black and white. The preferred file type for electronic plans is in Tag Image File Format (.TIF). However, we will also accept plans in Portable Document Format (.PDF) if necessary.
Email all electronic plans to Sara Thornton by emailing Sara Thornton. The file name should be the address of the project. Additionally, if any revisions are made to the plans, required paper copies and an electronic copy shall be updated and submitted to the Department of Community Development.
If you have any questions, please contact Sara Thornton at 517-694-8281.
