What to Expect During Public Comment at a Board Meeting

Members of the community are always encouraged to attend Board Meetings.  The public can provide comments on both agenda and non-agenda items at the beginning of the meeting.  We welcome community input and want to receive it.  Public comment during a Board meeting is a time for members of the community to provide their input.  The Board cannot interact with the public during the meeting, answer questions, or engage in any type of dialogue at that time.  Please manage your expectations about public comment during a meeting accordingly.  This has caused confusion and disappointment in the past if people don’t know what to expect during the meeting.  

If you have questions, need information, or would like conversation on a topic, please reach out to staff.
