We're Heading into the Home Stretch!
This week, construction crews are working on topping the east side of Cedar Street and finishing up concrete and street lighting work. Next week (week of Nov. 12), they will top the west side of Cedar Street, officially completing the road work associated with the Realize Cedar project. Traffic on Cedar Street between Holt Road and Aurelius Road will be northbound only during this time. Both the Cedar/Aurelius and Cedar/Holt intersections are open.
The project is scheduled to be completed on December 12, weather permitting. Between the end of the Cedar Street topping and December 14, there may be intermittent lane closures as construction crews work on replacing street lights, traffic signals, adding benches, etc.
Visit the Realize Cedar website to stay updated.
Update As of 11/16/18 from Realize Cedar: Unfortunately, due to the snow we received yesterday and today, the contractors were unable to finish the final topping layer on the west side of Cedar Street as planned. They will work to complete the final paving on Monday or Tuesday (11/19 & 11/20) and Cedar Street will be open to two-way traffic as soon as they are complete. Thank you for your patience as we accommodate the changing weather.
