millage proposal thank you

Delhi Township residents on Nov. 6 approved four millages that will renew funding for police and fire services and provide new funding to repair and replace its aging emergency medical equipment and restore its parks and trails system. The successful millage requests will maintain a high level of public safety services and improve quality of life for residents.


The four millages are a mix of renewals and new millages.


Residents voted to renew funding for law enforcement services and fire protection and emergency medical services for eight years at a rate of 1.5 mills each.


The law enforcement services millage will renew funds for law enforcement services and the fire protection and emergency medical services millage will renew funds for operational costs of fire protection and emergency medical services.


Residents also passed two new proposals: the fire and emergency medical equipment proposal and the parks, trails and recreation proposal.


The fire and emergency medical equipment and vehicle proposal passed for four years at a rate of .5 mills. The new millage will provide funds to repair and replace fire and emergency medical equipment and vehicles.


The parks, trails and recreation proposal passed for four years with a rate of 1 mill and will provide funds for restoring, operating, maintaining, acquiring, constructing and equipping parks, trails and recreation facilities.
