Delhi Township Awarded Energy Services Coalition Award
On November 7, 2018, Delhi Township was among five recipients recognized by the Energy Services Coalition - Michigan Chapter for their commitment to energy savings performance. The Township completed a contract with Honeywell to renovate aging heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC), process equipment, control systems, lighting within Township facilities, and to upgrade to LED street lights. This contract included renovations at the Community Service Center, Publicly Owned Treatment Works, Department of Public Works office, and parks buildings, and included:
- Replacement of failed boilers and piping
- Replacement of inefficient street lighting systems
- Elimination of simultaneous heating and cooling systems
- Updated aging building envelope systems
- Improved lighting both interior and exterior of facilities
- Completed Asset Management Plan to comply with State regulations
These changes will benefit the Township by improving our energy infrastructure and reducing energy costs.
