The annual Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 2 p.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. The parade route will start on Holt Road near Depot Street and travel west, concluding at Veterans Memorial Gardens behind Township Hall, located at 2074 Aurelius Road.

“The Delhi Township Memorial Day parade is a staple in our community that brings families together to celebrate the men and women who serve our country in the armed forces,” said Mike Grant, a member of American Legion Post 238 and co-organizer of the parade. “This year, it is our honor to celebrate the lives of the many American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives during the Vietnam War.”

After the parade, there will be a brief memorial ceremony in Veteran’s Memorial Gardens to recognize the contributions of Vietnam veterans and thank them for their service to our country. The memorial will include remarks from Vietnam veteran Ron Springer, a performance by the Holt High School Marching Band, and a 21-gun salute

The ceremony will be followed by an open house at American Legion Post 238, located at 1785 Cedar Street featuring food, fun and fellowship for the entire family.
